About This Campaign
For generations, what we now call Samma Pigano has stood for more than just sport—it's a modern Kenyan-founded combat discipline: a dynamic hybrid born from the heart of East Africa. While rooted in contemporary mixed martial traditions, it channels our resilience, our discipline, and our uniquely Kenyan fighting spirit.
Pigano was created in Kenya under the auspices of the World Samma Federation, and incorporates stick fighting, striking, and grappling in a three-phase format.
Today is a pivotal moment: we can take Samma Pigano from a national passion to a global force. This campaign will fund:
- International certification of coaches and athletes
- Athlete development programs to raise world-class Kenyan fighters
- Global demonstration events on the world stage
- Olympic recognition push for 2028, under a formalized standardized ruleset
