2. Student Responsibilities

2.1 Training Conduct

• Attend sessions punctually and prepared
• Maintain proper uniform and hygiene
• Follow instructor directions without question
• Practice safely and respect training partners

2.2 Online Learning

• Do not share course materials or account access
• Respect intellectual property rights
• Maintain appropriate behavior in online interactions
• Report technical issues promptly

2.3 Belt Progression

• Advancement is based on merit and demonstrated skill
• Respect the belt ranking system
• Do not claim unearned ranks or certifications

3. Instructor Ethics

3.1 Teaching Standards

• Maintain current WSF certification and insurance
• Provide safe and appropriate instruction
• Adapt teaching to individual student capabilities
• Continually update knowledge and skills

3.2 Student Relationships

• Maintain professional boundaries at all times
• No discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or background
• Provide equal attention and opportunity to all students
• Report concerns about student welfare appropriately

4. Competition and Events

4.1 Sportsmanship

• Respect officials, opponents, and decisions
• No performance-enhancing substances
• Accept victories and defeats with grace
• Represent WSF positively at all events

4.2 Olympic Standards

As WSF pursues Olympic recognition for Samma Pigano, all members must adhere to:

• World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations
• International Olympic Committee ethics standards
• Fair play and clean competition principles

5. Digital and Social Media Conduct

• Represent WSF positively in online spaces
• No sharing of proprietary training materials
• Respect privacy of other members
• Report inappropriate online behavior
• No cyberbullying or harassment

7. Disciplinary Process

7.1 Reporting

Concerns may be reported to ethics@worldsamma.org. All reports are handled confidentially.

7.2 Sanctions

• Verbal warning for minor infractions
• Written warning and probation
• Suspension of membership privileges
• Revocation of certifications and membership

7.3 Appeals Process

Members may appeal disciplinary decisions through WSF's Ethics Committee within 30 days.

8. International Compliance

WSF members worldwide must comply with:

• Local laws and regulations in their country
• International martial arts federation standards
• Olympic movement ethical guidelines
• UNESCO values for sports and education

9. Amendments

This Code of Conduct may be updated to reflect evolving standards and Olympic requirements. Members will be notified of significant changes.
